AI & Embedded Systems

AI is moving off the cloud and onto the microcontroller itself. Newer chips now ship with dedicated neural processing hardware, letting a device recognize a wake-word, a gesture, or a machine fault instantly, without sending data anywhere. We're studying how this fits into real embedded products, and where the line is between production-ready and still a demo.

As every device becomes connected, security is moving into the silicon itself: secure boot and hardware roots of trust that let a product prove its own firmware hasn't been altered before it even starts running. Regulation is turning this from a nice-to-have into a baseline requirement, and we're researching how to build it in from day one.
